“In our country, you can shoot and kill a n*****, but you better not hurt a gay person’s feelings,” Dave Chappelle said in his latest Netflix Special. Chappelle has long been known as a controversial comedian, but on October 5th, his contentious remarks rose to a new level. The comedian was on stage for his final of many, Netflix Special’s called ‘‘The Closer’’ which was dedicated to his friend and iconic comedian, Norm MacDonald who had died on September 14th, when he began a strain of controversial remarks. Chappelle signed a massive, years-long contract with Netflix. The initial contract, signed in 2016 put Chappelle up for three specials, each of which he got paid $20 million for. The contract continued, however, for years following, with more money pouring into the comedian's wallet. The insurmountable amount of money, Netflix was compensating Chappelle, was on the condition that the comedian remains exclusively on Netflix’s platform. But now, Chappelle is beginning to perform on other networks, a signal that the comedian's latest special is his last on Netflix. Thus, Chappelle took shots at the LGBTQ community, with no remorse. In the special, Chappelle called gender a ‘‘fact’’ and said that ‘‘every human being in this room, every human being on Earth had to pass through the legs of a woman to be on Earth, that is a fact.’’ His statement received widespread criticism, despite being a simple biological fact. He later joked about rapper DaBaby, who in 2018 shot and killed a black man. In spite of the fact that the 29-year-old American Rapper killed someone, his rapping career flourished. Chappelle blasted the liberal-left for not rebuking the rapper for that when they imminently rush to the offense when popular personalities critique popular gay figures. Due to the craziness of the modern democratic movement, heeding the belief that delusional men who have a universally accepted mental disorder (Gender Dysphoria) are in fact women, has become the norm, but it shouldn't be, and Dave Chappelle's latest Netflix Special ‘‘The Closer’’ shouldn’t be controversial either.
