“He is not a hero, but he is innocent, and the Justice System worked, so that's what matters.” Kyle Rittenhouse is a free man, Friday, after Jurors in a Kenosha court reaffirmed Rittenhouse’s innocence. Rittenhouse, who had shot three people in the aftermath of a violent confrontation amid BLM riots in Kenosha spurred by the August shooting of Jacob Blake by Wisconsin police, has been called by many as a “racist,” “white supremacist.” Jacob Blake the 29-year old criminal, who had previously raped and harrassed his girlfriend, and had a warrant for arrests due to his charges of third-degree sexual assault, trespassing, and disorderly conduct in connection with domestic abuse, was hailed as an emblem of African-American’s being unfairly targetted by law enforcement, despite his abhorrent crime record, and in response, thousands went to the streets of major American cities protesting, with some rioting in city-centers. Kyle Rittenhouse, a former resident of Kenosha who was enraged by the heightened unrest and disarray in the city, traveled to the small Wisconsin town, to prevent further violence from taking place, to do so, the then 17-year-old brought a legally purchased semi-automatic AR-15 style rifle over state lines to defend his former home from potentially violent rioters. For most of the week in which Rittenhouse had been in Kenosha, the teen primarily defended a municipal car dealership from being vandalized and provided medical aid to individuals in need, however on August 25th, after being chased by a local resident Joseph Rosenbaum, who allegedly lunged at him and tried to take his rifle according to a witness, Rittenhouse shot him 4 times, killing Rosenbaum. In the fallout of the shooting, widespread calls for Kyle to be prosecuted were spread by media influencers and American columnists. Nevertheless, over a week of damning testimony, and staggering surprises, Jurors found the 18-year-old innocent on all 5 charges facing the teen. Rittenhouse was obviously innocent, anyone who watched the video of the viral confrontation can attest, that the moment clearly seemed like one of self-defense. However, the media has attempted to promote the false notion that Rittenhouse had intentionally targeted the three who he’d shot, and two he had killed. The claim represents the constant pattern of left-wing media’s aim to advance a liberal narrative, that they portray to be facts. The fight for the truth is not nearly over, but this verdict has certainly accelerated it, and for that, America is better off.
